The GLXS3BN3010 condenser is a 2.5 ton AC only unit. In an ideal climate situation, the GLXS3BN3010 can usually cover a small to medium house. For this unit to function, an indoor air handler or coil is required, and this unit is cooling only with no heating capacity on its own.

13.4 SEER2

The Goodman GLXS3BN3010 AC condenser is designed to be 13.4 SEER2. This is the lowest efficiency on the market today, making it an inexpensive option for northern states. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.

Due to efficiency requirements, this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Warranty

The GLXS3BN3010 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.

96% AFUE

The GD9T960803BN gas furnace is 96% efficient. This efficiency means that 4% of the fuel going into the furnace is lost out of the flue venting, while 96% of the fuel is actually used to heat your home. As a condensing furnace, this furnace will need to be vented with plastic or PVC flue venting. If you are looking for a furnace that requires metal flue venting, you would need an 80% efficient furnace.

Two Stage 9-Speed Furnace

With a two stage burner, the GD9T960803BN provides two heating outputs: one at a 60% heating output for warmer days and one at a 100% output for when you need the furnace most. The furnace also has a 9 speed ECM motor instead of an inefficient PSC motor. Both of these upgrades provide a better efficiency with a more stable output to better heat your home through all seasons of use.
