Our complete Mitsubishi mini split systems include a condenser/compressor and an indoor air handler in wall-mounted, floor-mounted, ceiling-mounted and ceiling cassette-mounted options. They don’t require ductwork, and the components connect via refrigerant lines that pass through a small hole in the outer wall of the home.
A 12,000 BTU mini split air conditioner from Mitsubishi is intended for a smaller room that is well insulated, but its performance, even under less-than-ideal circumstances, is astounding. The same bears true of a 15,000 BTU mini split air conditioner – the performance just seems so much bigger than the room.
This trend sets Mitsubishi apart from the other manufacturers: high performance that far exceeds minimum requirements.
Nearly all the Mitsubishi mini split systems include a heat pump for winter. Typically, a heat pump is effective at temperatures above 35° F, but Mitsubishi’s H2i Hyper Heat pump, available on several models, pushes the limits of heat pump technology. Compressor technology and air speed control make it possible to use one of these units at temperatures as low as -15° F.
