Overview
The Mitsubishi MXZ-2C20NA2 is a heat pump condenser designed for use in multi-zone system setups. Instead of using multiple single zone condensers, which can take up a lot of space in your yard, a multi-zone unit is more practical in many applications, as it requires only one air handler per room that you are trying to heat and cool.

The Mitsubishi MXZ-2C20NA2 is rated at 20,000 BTU, which should generally be the same or greater than the total BTU count across all air handlers that this unit is paired with. While a certified pairing may have a higher BTU count total, the condenser can handle more, but anything higher than this rating can potentially lower the speed that the unit can heat and cool. It can also limit the functional outputs of each air handler if they are all running at the same time.
Please note: This heat pump condenser must be installed with compatible air handlers, controllers, and other installation equipment, available at an additional cost, to function.
Warranty
Mitsubishi offers a 5-year parts and 7-year compressor warranty on all of its products. If the unit is registered online through the manufacturer after installation that follows your state and local codes, the warranty is upgraded to a 10-year parts and compressor warranty.
Enhanced Comfort
With its variable speed compressor, the MXZ-2C20NA2 can provide more precise adjustments to the covered spaces with the right air handlers. This also slightly improves electrical efficiency by ramping the compressor up and down based on the unit’s air handlers’ needs, as well as providing a more stable temperature output from the connected air handlers to provide superior comfort.
Intelligent Control
For ease of control, many air handlers that are compatible with the MXZ-2C20NA2 can use any Mitsubishi-brand thermostat or adapter. The most convenient to control is the Kumo cloud WiFi adapter, found here, which allows each air handler to be accessed from anywhere that you have internet. Please note that in most applications, you will need one thermostat or adapter per indoor air handler that you want to control with it.
Mitsubishi MHK2 Wireless Remote Controller
The Mitsubishi MHK2 is the second revision of Mitsubishi's popular wireless controller set designed for use with M & P Series residential and light commercial units. This controller provides comprehensive 7-day scheduling and a clear, backlit display for easy use.
With the updated MHK2, you can now use the Kumo Cloud wi-fi adapter (sold separately) alongside the wireless controller. You no longer have to choose between internet and wireless control--you can have both!
Components
The MRCH2 is the main body of the thermostat, which can be placed up to 200 feet away from the indoor unit without requiring line of sight. The MRC2 cable connects to the CN105 connector on the indoor unit's control board, and the other end of the cable connects to the MIFH2 receiver. The MIFH2 receiver can be placed on the right side of a wall-mounted unit, in the pocket of an MLZ-KP cassette, or anywhere near the control side of a ducted or square cassette unit.
