15.2 SEER2

The RunTru by Trane E4HL5018A1000A heat pump condenser is rated at 15.2 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than standard 14.3 SEER2 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit. Inverter Technology

The E4HL5018A1000A's inverter technology changes AC power to DC, giving the compressor the ability to speed up and slow down at will. This allows the system to adjust BTU output based on demand, giving you ultra-precise control over the temperature of your home.

Questions and Answers

Customer Questions
Who makes RunTru?
RunTru HVAC products are made by Trane Technologies, a well-known and reputable manufacturer in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. RunTru is a brand developed by Trane to offer reliable and cost-effective HVAC solutions, maintaining Trane’s commitment to quality and performance.
I'm looking to replace my Trane unit and this RunTru unit seems to have about the same specs - are they the same product?
RunTru is made by the same company as Trane as well as brands like American Standard, Ameristar, and OxBox. Many of the internal components can be cross-referenced for shared parts. So, yes, apart from the name on the badge – very similar if not identical.
What's the warranty policy if something breaks down?
With online registration, RunTru's warranty policies include 20 year heat exchanger replacements, 10 year parts replacements, 10 year compressor replacements, and 10 year coil replacements. If the unit is not registered, the parts, compressor, and coil warranties will instead be 5 years. The heat exchanger replacement will remain at 20 years regardless of registration.
What happens if it arrives damaged?
If you are present during drop-off and you see obvious signs of damage or rough handling in transit - please ask the driver to wait while you inspect the equipment. If it is damaged badly enough that you believe it can not function, you have the right to refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver has left, take photos of the damage and send them to customerservice@hvacdirect.com. Please refer to your order number in the email. This starts the process and one of our representatives will be in touch with you promptly.
How can I find an installer?
It’s easier than you think – the key is to find an independent contractor or small company as opposed to a larger HVAC service. A one or two person outfit will do the work more quickly and cheaply than a bigger company, too. Yelp.com, Thumbtack.com, and Porch.com are websites that are designed to help you connect with a professional in your area. You could also place a call to the last professional who did work on your home and see if they have any recommendations.
