Installation and Maintenance

Installation of the ACiQ-36-AHB air handler is very similar to installing any replacement air handler, with the exception of using included flared, compression adapters that are brazed to traditional line sets. You can use the included thermostat or any 24v thermostat with 3 stages of heating to control the system. For added protection, you can add electric strip heat as a backup system for the coldest days of the year. The intelligent control board displays fault codes in case part of the system requires maintenance. Please note that in order for this air handler to function as a heat pump, it must be installed with a condenser and other installation equipment, which are available at an additional cost if not already included in this product bundle. An electric heater coil is necessary for straight electric heating, and it is also available at an additional cost.

This heater coil is designed specifically for use in ACiQ unitary air handlers, and is capable of providing a supported output of 34,100 BTU, making it ideal for covering a small house in ideal climates. It's important to note that the EAH-05B requires a 30 amp breaker to function properly.
