The no joist cut shutter automatically opens when the fan is turned on and tightly shuts when the fan is turned off. This not only easily indicates when the fan is turned on or off, but it also helps control dust, insects, and other particulates from entering. This unit requires a 120V, 1 phase electrical connection. It must be hardwired; a cord and plug are not included.
