Watson McDaniel Second Pilot Adapter (BADAPTER)

The Watson McDaniel Second Pilot Adapter is needed when two or more pilots are used on the same valve. This adapter adds an additional connection port thus allowing an additional pilot to be installed. Within boiler feed systems, a two-pilot control valve is typically used on atmospheric feed tanks that utilize a low-pressure steam sparge tube for feedwater preheating.In these cases, a temperature pilot AND a pressure pilot are needed. The temperature pilot will maintain temperature within the tank and the pressure pilot will prevent the sparge assembly from exceeding it’s designed operating pressure.
