A Goodman combination system is a great choice to keep your home comfortable all season long. With tons of extra features and a great price, a Goodman furnace and air conditioning system is the perfect choice for all of your heating and cooling needs.
As a high-efficiency system, the GM9C961004CN Goodman gas furnace features many money saving features. The two-stage, 9-speed furnace uses a superior heat exchanger for better heat transfers to your home. Considered one of the best efficiencies on the market, the GMEC961004CN is a good way to go if you want to lower your gas bill.
Heating up to a larger house in normal conditions, the GMEC961004CN Goodman gas furnace has an input of 100,000 BTU’s and an output of 96,000 BTU’s. The output in this case is determined by taking the input times the efficiency rating.
The GM9C961004CN Goodman gas furnace is a 96% efficient furnace, making it a condensing setup. This efficiency means that only 4% of the fuel going into the furnace is used up in furnace operations, while 96% of the fuel is used to heat your home. As a condensing furnace, this furnace will need to be vented with plastic or PVC flue venting. If you need to use metal flue venting, you would need an 80% efficient furnace.
With a two stage burner, the GM9C961004CN provides two heating outputs: one at a 60% heating output and one at a 100% output. The furnace also has a 9 speed ECM motor instead of the last-generation inefficient PSC motor. Both of these built-in upgrades allow for your furnace to adjust the heating output and airflow more precisely to better suit your home’s comfort needs and provide a slightly higher efficiency.
With installation that follows your state and local codes and with online registration, all Goodman furnaces come with a 10-year parts and lifetime heat exchanger warranty through the manufacturer.
The exterior casing on the GM9C961004CN is heavy-gauge steel that is insulated for enhanced protection and to lower air leakage and sound output from normal furnace operation. The hot surface ignitor is more efficient than earlier models and standing pilot lights thanks to its revolutionary new technology. Both of these end up saving you money on installation, maintenance, and bills.
The cost-saving benefits of the Goodman brand doesn’t stop at efficiency. The GM9C961004CN Goodman furnace can be upflow or horizontal, increasing the number of ways that your installer can install the system. The low-voltage terminals that are color-coded, the installation is faster and easier over standard non-colored systems. Straight from the factory, the GM9C961004CN comes with natural gas valves. However, increasing its versatility in installation, Goodman offers an LP conversion kit (found here at an additional cost) if you need it to be propane instead of natural gas. Not only does the Goodman brand save you money on installation costs, but also with maintenance and warranty work. In the event of a rare warranty issue, the on board self-diagnostic control board alerts you and your serviceman what is wrong with the unit for most basic issues for a faster solution.
Please note that this furnace requires a drain kit if installed horizontally. Upflow configurations do not require the kit.
The Goodman CHPT4860D4 evaporator coil is ready for any horizontal installation that you need it for. With a built-in TXV kit for efficiency, the CHPT4860D4 lives up to Goodman's expectations to provide an enhanced comfort with a superior efficiency, all while staying within your budget. If you want the best possible coil for your home, this is it.
At an output of 3.5to 5 tons, the Goodman CHPT4860D4 evaporator coil is ready for almost any horizontal application that matches that output need. In entire system configurations, the coil will be either larger or the same size as the condenser's tonnage. As such, the tonnages of the coil and the condenser may be different in order to maintain the unit's efficiency. Please note that for this coil to function, a furnace or blower and a condenser is required, all sold separately. This coil is not designed to replace a coil in a single-piece air handler.
The CHPT4860D4 coil is covered under Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when the unit is installed following your state and local codes, the coil is paired with a compatible R410A condenser, and the entire system is registered online through the manufacturer.
The Goodman CHPT4860D4 horizontal evaporator coil is designed with aluminum tubing and fin coils, lowering wear and tear on the unit. The coil also comes with a TXV kit factory-installed, making it one less thing for your installer to have to install, lowering installation costs. For easier maintenance access, the front of the coil's durable cabinet has a split-seam.
The Goodman CHPT4860D4 horizontal evaporator coil's built-in TXV kit provides a significant increase in refrigerant control, increasing the overall efficiency of the entire system and providing a more precise temperature output to make you more comfortable in your home. On top of that, the coil has a mold-resistant, thermoplastic drain pan set that lowers potentially dangerous particle buildup. All of these features allow the CHPT4860D4 to live up to the Goodman quality name.
The Goodman GSXN3N4210 is a cooling-only condenser unit. Providing a 13.4 SEER2 efficiency with a single stage, reciprocating compressor, the GSXN3N4210 is an inexpensive condenser to cool your home when paired with an AC coil.
The GSXN3N4210 condenser is a 3.5 ton AC only unit. In an ideal climate situation, the GSXN3N4210 can usually cover a medium-sized house. For this unit to function, an indoor air handler or coil is required, and this unit is cooling only with no heating capacity on its own.
The Goodman GSXN3N4210 AC condenser is designed to be 13.4 SEER2. This is the lowest efficiency on the market today, making it an inexpensive option for northern states. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.
Due to new efficiency requirements, this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
The GSXN3N4210 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.
With an enhanced copper tube and aluminum fin coil, the GSXN3N4210 is designed to prevent coil degradation. With the baked-on powder-paint finish, the condenser's heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet is approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray. The factory-installed filter dryer lowers general wear-and-tear on the unit. All of these features provide you with a durable, reliable condenser to be used whenever you need to cool your home.
The Goodman GSXN3N4210 AC condenser comes standard with service valves that have sweat connections and easy-access gauge ports, both providing a lower installation difficulty and time to lower installation costs. The outer casing has both a top and a side access to allow for easier maintenance and warranty access when necessary.
The Goodman brand always has its customer's comfort in mind. The GSXN3N4210 is no exception, with not only using high-quality components but also providing enhanced sound-dampening features that allows the brand to manufacture some of the lowest sound output levels in the industry.
