12+1 Warranty

Stealth Designer Series offers a 12+1 warranty with first-year unit replacement. Register your equipment at stealthcomfort.com to expand the coverage to 7 years for all parts and 12 years for the compressor, with 1 year of unit replacement. If you don't register, you still get the standard 5-year parts and 7-year compressor warranty.

Precision engineering and rugged construction, including an acrylic resin fin coating, mean you'll enjoy long, trouble-free service life. The SC-36Z-UM provides continuous heating down to an outside temperature of -31 degrees Fahrenheit.

Installation and Maintenance

The condenser comes with a pre-charge of eco-friendly R410a refrigerant for 25' of line set per air handler. Compression-type line set fittings require evacuation prior to refrigerant release. Line set kits, including refrigerant lines, control wire, and drain hose extensions, are available on this page under "Accessories." The system's self-diagnosing electronics display error codes on the unit's front if it detects a fault.

Note:

This system includes only the outdoor condenser, indoor air handler, and wall-mounted or remote thermostat (depending on the model) shown in the photo. Additional accessories are required to complete installation. Each air handler requires a separate refrigerant line set, control wire, and condensation control. The condenser requires a connection to household power, wired through a disconnect switch and flexible, weatherproof conduit (whip). Optional accessories are also available. Flexible Placement Options with Stealth Designer Series Floor or Ceiling Mount Air Handlers

The Stealth Designer Series Floor or Ceiling Mount Air Handlers provide ultimate flexibility in placement, with the ability to be surface mounted either vertically or horizontally*. This wider and flatter form factor is a great solution when you have limited vertical wall space, such as in an attic room, but still want efficient heating and cooling.

The surface mount option on the ceiling is also possible, but may require a separate condensate pump to remove water.

It's important to note that this air handler must be connected to an outdoor condenser in order to function.
