2 Tons

The AVPTC25B14 air handler is rated for an output of 2 tons. In many cases, this tonnage will be larger than the condenser it is paired with, which increases the overall efficiency of the unit. Please note that this air handler needs a condenser to heat or cool. For straight heating or when backup heat is necessary in a heat pump application, the air handler is able to accommodate heat strips, available at an additional cost to be field-installed.

Warranty

Goodman offers a 10 year parts warranty with online registration and when the unit is matched with a covered condenser. Please note that installation that follows your state and local codes is required, normally requiring an EPA-certified installer for most of the work.

Installation and Maintenance

The Goodman AVPTC25B14 comes with a factory-installed TXV kit, preventing the need to install one to increase the unit's efficiency. The unit is also able to be installed in any orientation - upflow, downflow, or horizontal - which allows it to be extremely versatile in application. For easy maintenance, there are two access panels on the unit, and there is a CFM indicator and a front-panel sight glass. There is also a built-in control board function that helps you diagnose the unit should the need arise.

The Goodman AVPTC25B14 is ComfortNet compatible, allowing it to communicate with compatible condensers. The variable speed motor provides the most precise temperature control possible. Both of these features keep you as comfortable as possible, no matter what temperature you like to keep the thermostat set on.

Line sets are the copper lines which connect an outdoor condensing unit/heat pump to an inside air handler or evaporator coil. Line sets are available in different lengths and diameters to fit most applications.

Liquidtite 1/2 in. x 4 ft. AC Whip comes with 2 non-metallic and liquid-tight connectors and features 3 conductors in black, red and green.

E Lite is a plastic pad designed as a mounting base for air conditioning condensers. The rugged design provides uniform and generous ribbing for optimum, self-leveling ground support without inserts. E Lite is injection molded from polypropylene, resulting in a pad that is lightweight, but not too light. A subtle texture prevents unit slide and presents a classic appearance, which is enhanced by rounded edges and a concrete gray color. Each pad is molded with its size in raised letters.
